Large-Scale Commercial Masonry | Construction Experience Preferred

Position Overview

EKB Masonry is seeking dependable Mason Tenders to support our commercial masonry crews throughout Jacksonville and the surrounding area. This role is essential to keeping masons productive, materials organized, and jobsites safe and efficient.

We are looking for hardworking, safety-minded team members who are willing to learn, work outdoors, and grow within an established commercial masonry contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Support masons with material handling, mortar mixing, scaffold stocking, and maintaining organized work areas.
• Stage block, brick, mortar, reinforcement, tools, and other materials for efficient daily production.
• Keep mixers, saws, scaffolding, tools, and job areas clean, organized, and ready for safe use.
• Assist with unloading, moving, and distributing masonry materials throughout the jobsite.
• Help maintain a safe, productive work environment by removing debris and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Follow directions from the foreman and experienced masons to support daily production and schedule requirements.
• Assist with basic jobsite setup, cleanup, material protection, and end-of-day organization.
• Follow all company policies, jobsite rules, and OSHA safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Construction or masonry experience preferred; commercial construction experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn commercial masonry work.
• Ability to lift and carry masonry materials and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and on active commercial construction sites.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to assigned jobsites on time.
• Commitment to jobsite safety, teamwork, and following foreman direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience tending masons, mixing mortar, stocking scaffolding, or handling masonry materials.
• Experience working with block, brick, stone, mortar, reinforcing steel, or related construction materials.
• Familiarity with commercial jobsite safety practices and basic construction tools.
• Interest in advancing into a mason, lead mason, or foreman role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
